Favorite Things & March Recap 🍀

Hello, April!

We have officially made it to quarter two of 2024, and although the year feels like it’s already going at lightning speed, I am digging the sunnier, longer days and seeing all the plants and trees starting to bloom 🌷 I’ve been spending a lot more time in the backyard, sitting in the sun and listening to the birds sing, and I’m really looking forward to doing that more and more in the coming months.

This time of year always brings me a sense of hope and renewal. It also inspires me to clear the clutter and do a nice deep clean to prepare for summer, which I will be scheduling in the next couple of weeks.

And, even though it’s eclipse season and Mercury is in retrograde for the entire month of April, I’m still feeling hopeful. This month, I’m focusing on play, inner peace (this month’s theme in The Year of Awakening), and asking for guidance. What are you focusing on this month? Drop it in the comments below 👇

Personal Update:

March felt like a bit of a weird month for me. I felt settled in many ways and incredibly unsettled in others (“settled” is my word for 2024). I’m realizing now that I may have been under more stress last month than I initially realized. I worried for two weeks straight about my first Master’s assignment but then ended up receiving full marks! I can’t tell you how relieved I was! 😮‍💨 My next two big assignments aren’t until weeks 7 and 9 of my program, so I’m enjoying the nice reprieve until then.

We’ve had a couple weekends of really nice weather and were able to go golfing for the first time since my shoulder injury last July. I shot a 99 and a 98, so I still have a long way to go 😅 but it’s been a blast to get back out on the course again!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, we are officially getting a friend for Winston on April 30th! 🩷 I am quite literally counting down the days until we get to bring her home. We met her for the first time on March 30th, and let me tell you, at only five weeks old (and the runt), she is a feisty little thing! 😂 She was licking my face, playing with my shoelaces, biting my nose with her no-teeth, and out-played all her siblings. I’m so excited, with a big side of nerves.

Before we even knew we were getting a dog, we’d been calling her Wendy. It seems to have stuck, but we’re also throwing around Willow and Ms. Biggie Smalls 🤣 What name fits her? You tell me.

Biz Update:

March was filled with lots of content creation. I created daily prompts on Instagram for the month of March, recreated my 108 Days of Happiness program, updated the 108 Day Happiness Journal and created five new classes 🤪 Honestly, it was a BLAST! Creating in my business is one of my favorite things to do.

I have been wanting to update the 108 Days of Awakening Joy Journal (formally known as the Happy As Fuck Journal) for over a year now, and the start of 108 Days of Happiness Habits Group Program on April 15th gave me the push and accountability I needed to complete it! I am so excited about the new cover, and the proof that arrives on Thursday!

Happiness has been on my mind a lot lately, and I am thrilled that I get to teach happiness, empowerment and holistic health to unique humans like you. Many things have changed in my business over the years, but happiness has not. I’ve worked with hundreds of ambitious women and have thousands of hours of experience coaching humans how to be happier. If you’re tired of feeling like crap, striving for happiness and feeling burned out, I’d love to coach you back to yourself and back to your happiness.

Things I’m Loving:

  1. For the therapist or aspiring therapist: Myisha Till, creator of Check Your Privilege recommended an incredible book, Decolonizing Therapy by Jennifer Mullan and I am SO excited to dive into it!

  2. For the busy, busy bee who has a hard time saying NO: I went down the Gabor Maté rabbit hole the other day and ended up purchasing When the Body Says No.

  3. For the Soul seeker during these crazy astrological times: The Soul’s Code by James Hillman will blow your damn mind and align you with your unique life.

  4. For those eclipse chasers: Make sure you get those Total Solar Eclipse glasses before Monday!

  5. The Man Enough podcast is by far one of my favorite podcasts right now. I love the topics and how they shed light on many of the stereotypes that men and women face.

  6. For those wanting more inner peace: The Tapping Solution has been my go-to app for creating calm for at least five years now. I have it on auto-renewal because it’s not even a question if I will subscribe again for a year, it’s that helpful. My favorite tapping meditations are, instant Boost of Happiness, Create A Great Day and the Abundance Walk.
