Favorite Things & April Recap 🌷

Hello, May!

Wooweeee! April was a WILD ride, wasn’t it?! Between Mercury being in retrograde for the whole month, the intense eclipses, and the spring energy blooming, April felt very full and exciting. Overall, I feel like I managed this crazy energy pretty well. I’ve been absolutely loving the warm weather we’ve been having in Washington. It’s been in the 60s and even 70s a few weekends this month, which has made it very difficult to work and study 😅

How was your April? Please leave your response in the comments below or feel free to message me on Instagram.

Personal Update:

The last two months in school have been so exciting. (For those who are new here, I recently decided to go back to school to get my Master’s in Clinical Counseling.) I have been absolutely loving it. What I’m learning about psychological theory, human development, and personal development is blowing my mind. It sure does feel like confirmation that I am in the right place and that I made the right choice!

On March 31st (sure to avoid Mercury Retrograde 😆), we officially decided to get another dog!! 🐶 It’s something we’ve been thinking about for a while, and it just feels like the right time. Winston is….unsure about his new family member 😅 He met her for the first time last week, but we officially bring her home on May 1st (today!!!!!), so time will tell! I’m sure I’ll have lots to share in my May recap! 😉 For those wondering, she is a Morkie, currently two pounds and her name is Wendy 😇 Winston and Wendy 💞 We took the Moho out the last weekend for our last hurrah before we’re a bit on lockdown with the potty training and finding our groove.

Lastly, I’ve been redecorating the wall in my office 🪩 and it’s been so much fun! She’s been in desperate need of an update, and I’m so pleased with how it’s turned out!

Biz Update:

How I was able to write what felt like a thousand emails, design a template for a program, redesign my 108 Days of Awakening Joy Journal, and launch my group program, 108 Days of Happiness Habits, all while managing hours of studying and writing, I’ll never know 🤣 I really showed myself what’s possible when I manage my time wisely. I sure CAN run a successful business and get my Master’s at the same time 😎

108 Days of Happiness Habits is off to a wonderful start - we’re killing it! 👊 This program is all about prioritizing happiness and making joy a daily habit. Because, guess what? We are not taught to be happy — we’re taught to work our asses off, to grind and to hustle, and quite frankly, WE’RE OVER IT 🙄 We’re here to create lives that are joyful, and that’s exactly what we’re doing. My current happiness habits are 1) a gratitude mention, meaning I say something I’m grateful out loud to myself or someone else and 2) write an Abundance List every day. It’s already been freaking life-changing!!!! 🤩

The Year of Awakening, my flagship journaling membership community, is opening again July 1st!! 🤓 And we are previewing that with a brand-spanking-new 14-day journaling challenge. Jump on the waitlist right here to be the first to be notified about the challenge and enrollment of YOA!

Things I’m Loving This Month:

  1. Over the last couple of months, my focus has been on abundance. I recently rented The Abundance Code by Julie Ann Cairns, and it’s SO good. Snag up your copy right here. You won’t regret it, especially if you want to overcome any money blocks.

  2. My sister recommended Happy People Are Annoying by Josh Peck, a Nickelodeon child star, and it exceeded my expectations. I really appreciated his thoughts and views on happiness, especially in the midst of heartache and trauma. I’m not a fast reader and I flew through this!

  3. I’m 100% obsessed with The Healing Waters Oracle by Rebecca Campbell. The imagery and the colors, and the descriptions in the book are SO beautiful! I’m so glad I splurged on it!

  4. I am also so pleased with The Sacred Traveler’s Oracle by Denise Linn! I was drawn to this oracle deck because I love traveling and wandering. As a matter of fact, that’s what I do in my business — I journey with my clients during moments of feeling lost (and found) and I’ve been loving pulling these cards during my sessions!

  5. I gifted this Self Love For Women Workbook to a client, and she’s been loving it!

  6. Of course, I have to mention (again!) my very own journal that has been developed and proven to increase daily happiness, the 108 Days of Awakening Joy Journal. It will change your life!!

Answer These Journal Prompts in May:

  • What abundance am I ready to call in this month?

  • What is my relationship with receiving?

  • What gives me energy and LIFE?

  • How can I take exceptional care of myself this month?

  • Write a May Bucket List! What will you do this month to feel the way you want to feel?

That’s it for April’s update, peeps! I hope you’re enjoying these little recaps, and I can’t wait to bloom with you this month 🌱
