Not Where You Thought You'd Be? Here's What To Do.

Welp, here we are. Already 6 months through the year, and I’m curious – are you where you thought you would be with your goals? Or are you somewhere different?

Don’t worry – I’ve totally been there. True-to-form, I sometimes find myself wondering how the hell I got where I am, or why I am not somewhere else – whether in my career, health or personal development.

If you are feeling a little down-and-out or frustrated with where you are (or aren’t) here are 3 things to get you closer to your goals (and feel a whole hell of a lot better about yourself):

Trust where you are.

Now, before you roll your eyes at me, I want you to think for a second. If you were supposed to be somewhere different, a different place or in a different situation, don’t you think you would be?

If you feel like you have been bucking the tide for awhile now (whether with weight, health, goals/habit formation, relationships, or other personal stuff) ask yourself: what is the lesson I am supposed to be learning? What is the gift in the situation or circumstance that I am in?

Start a gratitude intention.

Are you asking yourself, what the hell is a gratitude intention? Well, it’s awesome. A gratitude intention is a statement of gratitude for something that you don’t yet have – but will! –  and you bring to life through manifestation.

For the next 30 days, here’s what you do: create a gratitude intention and say it to yourself every morning and every night. When you say it to yourself I want you to imagine what it would feel like to have whatever it is you want. Allowing yourself to feel the feeling of having that thing, the more likely it will be manifested into your life.

Ask yourself, what do I really, really, really want? If I could choose (and the Law Of Attraction says you do) what would you want to manifest this year?

Here are a couple examples of gratitude intentions:

“Thank you God/Universe/Mr. Potato Head (whatever you believe in) for helping me reach my goal of losing 30 pounds. I feel fantastic!”

“I am so grateful for finding a new love for the body I have been given. I love my body! Thank you!”

“Thank you so much for blessing me with the financial stability to support my family by making $_____/month.”

“I feel so relieved I have found the time and motivation to prep my meals every week. Thank you!!!”

Re-evaluate your goals

Attention! You hereby have complete and utter permission to change your mind. If the goals you had at the beginning of the year aren’t quite what you are feeling today – change them!

Take 30 minutes and evaluate what is working in your life, and what isn’t. Do a Life Inventory. Where are you spending your time, versus, where would you like to be spending your time?

Here are a few more questions to think about:

What is lighting me up at the moment?
What is my Soul craving?
What is the most loving thing I can do with my time?

I want to hear from you!! Are you where you thought you would be this time of year? Why do you think you are where you are? Where do you want to be? Believe me, you can get there.
